speaking of sharpies....what is the sharpie model that people have been using for making positives? the regular ones are not opaque enough, but i used some in the USA that were really dense black.

They make oil-based paint markers. I've use those before.

can you get Posca brushpens in Canada? - they are nice and opaque - really nice in fact

Out of curiosity, could you use something like a posca to draw on acetate and then use that to expose a screen? I hear rubylith thrown around alot, but surely something like this would save time compared to cutting each individual pen stroke out.

With rubylith you generally don't cut out each individual pen stroke, you can create a keyline plate from the art and cut out ruby as fill colors (or draw with opaque pens).

yes - I mentioned Posca's and their opacity because I have used them on acetate to then burn screens with...

The Sharpie Poster Paint markers work. I've used them with vellum and had successful burns. Weird thing is, I noticed the water-based ones are much more opaque than the oil-based. bad thing is, the water-based seem harder to find
