Smart money is on one of the Dans. Made points early, ducked out.
I'd put Macadam at 48% and Stiles at 52%.

I can't imagine being in this position and saying to myself "Hey! I bet the people at Gigposters will be helpful!". -Phoon
let's face it, jazz blows anyway.
We are all winners.

Can't blame kamiblue for trying. This guy raised over a hundred thousand dollars for his "tribute" screenprint.
The ACME Corporation by Rob Loukotka — Kickstarter
I agree, this is the wrong place to beg for money to get your art screen printed. You don't really need a kickstarter to make a screenprint, that's crazy. But kickstarter can get your work in front of a wider audience, which goes way beyond your facebook, twitter, or gigposter friends. It's like TV for the internet. Sure, you can make a commercial for your work and put it on your website or youtube, but with kickstarter, there's a built-in audience that is likely to drop $30 for a print especially if it makes them feel like they're helping out a struggling artist. It makes them feel like they're part of the process. You can look at kickstarter as begging for something you don't need or as a platform to broadcast to the world. Makes me want to do one. I could sure as fuck use $100,000.
clever idea. original art. universal appeal. simple value transaction. 4 for 4.
good for that guy.
but I don't think we saw him come on here to promote it, or argue its merits. No matter what your marketing vehicle - kickstarter or booth at flatstock or personal website....if people don't want to buy it, they won't.
jazzy tits!
Word.
The other thing that bums me out is that it seems people don't want to buy anything that isn't a mash-up of some pop culture bullshit. I've been guilty of it in the past, and maybe this is a discussion that's been started elsewhere, but if it isn't a reinterpretation of something that's already out there people can't seem to grasp it. Like the ACME thing, it's like "Oh how clever, a collection of products from a Bugs Bunny cartoon!" There's more I'd like to say but I CAN'T CONCENTRATE WITH THAT GIRL SHAKING HER BOOBS.
