2. Sole - A Ruthless Criticism of Everything Existing
3. Aesop Rock - Skelethon
4. Dose One - G is for Deep
5. Why? - Mumps etc.
I looove hip hop, but I'm never with the times or ahead of the curve. I always wait for someone else to digest the latest and then I'll just cherry pick the best of the best. I'll be checking out these picks for sure. It looks like I'll probably starting with Aesop Rock.
That Killer Mike album was pretty sweet, though.

There was a few but it was only the top 5 requested here, political ginger rap fight was the biggest on my radar.... Sleigh Bells & Heartless Basterds, Black Mountain were pretty good... there was a lot of good mixes by the Ghetto Funk peeps, FF5, Sticky Buds & the Funk Hunters... what can I say I like rap & Why? has really moved away from the rapping don't you think?
can't believe no one's mentioned neurosis or graveyard yet.
no particular order - el roacho, your wish is my command
neurosis - honor found in decay
high on fire - de vermis mysteriis
marriages - kitsune
swans - seer
meshuggah - koloss
ladyhawk are criminally underrated.
