SONORAMA by DR. ALDERETE
Is a book brings together for the first time, 20 years of work by illustrator and designer Jorge Alderete linked to underground rock scene. With a foreword by Sr. Flavio (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and texts by Guillermo Fadanelli and Leonardo Tarifeņo, the book is published by La Caja de Cerillos. 160 pages of posters, CDs, vinyl, etc. Plus commentary by musicians on the relationship between art / design and music.
"I see in the work of Dr. Alderete a mutant Latin American identity, which ultimately is what best represents us. An evolution from the postpunk to pop, but always refers to a continental scar. In Latino culture, there aren't plenty of examples that combine a popular sense, the elegance and daring. I think the greatest achievement of Alderete is to cross those roads and make it look quite natural."
Leonardo Tarifeņo, journalist and record producer.
160 Pages / Size 15 X 22 cm.
