Default linocut printing on fabric without press

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys had ever printed a lino-cut onto fabric like a shirt or tote without a press or if you had any words of advice for me. HA! (and not that I am totally screwed)

What I think I am doing right:

    oil based relief ink
linoleum mounted on a thick wooden block
put wood in shirt to keep it's shape and flat?

Make a plywood sandwich with the shirt and block on the inside and run over it with the heaviest car you have. Unmounted lino would work better if you have it. Blick sells a peice 12x12" for 2 bucks i believe.

Almost forgot. You might want to put a couple of towels on top of the lino before you sandwich it to dampen and spread the pressure.

Order of Layers from bottom to top:

    1. Plywood #1
    2. Shirt (use a flat cardboard inside of it with some spray tack)
    3. Lino (face down on the shirt)
    4. Towels
    5. Plywood#2

Oh neat. I hadn't thought about the plywood on top.

    my layers-

plywood that shirt is stretched over
    wood mounted lino facing down

then applying pressure to the block... are you guys actually telling me to run it over? I mean, I know a steam roller and car works.. but there has to be another way.

Print your block on some acetate in black and shoot it on a screen.

I did this little process thing last year. It may help - I just used the block and held it with one hand, and tapped all over it with a small hammer and it worked pretty well for me.
