Could you be more specific. What's your issue with the safety? I've worked around them all day, every day, for 15 years and never had an issue.

edit: Except for that time somebody hit the safety while I was leaning over the front of the press and it came up and broke one of my ribs.

Im having a hard time reaching under the press. I hit it every time I go to grab paper or make an adjustment. It's at the wrong height

What make/model again? Try having both eyes open while working it helps with depth perception.

seems pretty simple on my M&R. Is it sensor run or mechanical?

If there's one consistently good idea, proven again and again throughout humanity's technological evolution, it's that disabling safety countermeasures are excellent ways to save time and simplify tasks.

don't do it. check to see if there is any excessive slack or sensitivity in the safety bar, sometimes you can set it.

it would be a lot more inconvenient to break your arm.

Andy, why are you bringing common sense into an industry where it obviously isn't the standard?!?

Our old cameo didn't have a safety bar. Got my arms printed on and almost broke a few times. Safety bars RULE.
