i was almost in the same boat as you last year, but i did this instead.

go get prescribed to some klonopin, tell the doc you've been extremely depressed from the breakup and you can't sleep or eat or function, they should give you a week's or month's worth of pills. fill that script and eat as many as you can, but not too many because you can stop breathing when you mix it with booze. klonopin will take away any unwanted side effects from weed and leave only its good qualities. amphetamines will keep you alert enough to have a good time and possibly allow your brain to create new memories so you don't black out and can potentially keep you breathing.
