RIP Norman Ramsey

Originator of the Atomic Clock and Nobel laureate.
I put this RIP up here because he was my dad's thesis adviser, mentor, and good friend, and because I met him several times in my childhood and he was nice to me.

Winston (f'n) Churchill (!!) gives this "brilliant young physicist" a shoutout in his epic six-volume history of World War II, for his work developing a revolutionary new bombsight.

In 89 when he won the Nobel Prize for Physics, he didn't want to keep the prize money so... he bought all his favorite students and colleagues new VCRs. So my family got a Nobel Prize VCR from Norm Ramsey.
