Where are all the famous "street" artists during the wall street protests? Shouldn't they be all over this?

A street artist rushing to an area full of agitated cops is a foolhardy street artist. And, if they're smart, they wouldn't want to associate their vandalism -- because that's how it will be seen -- with a movement that's otherwise trying to remain mostly above-board.

Well, I see at least one artist has stepped up. I'm still truly baffled by the delay, but better late than never, I guess. You can question the validity of "street" art (or math rock), but I think at least a few of these artists are sincere in their intent, so I support it for that reason alone.

Who's to say various 'street' artists aren't there, not doing murals but protesting along with the other people?
Do we have specific information that they are not?

If Shep Fairey were there, doing a big mural or something, wouldn't all you jokers be all over his ass for piggybacking on the protests for his own personal self-aggrandizement? I bet you would.
