Pretty interesting artifacts. I remember even when I was a kid going to field trips at museums and thinking that SOME of those ancient artifacts of lizard people, women with bird heads, or dudes with big heads and wide eyes were more than just some crazy characters that someone created out of boredom... but actual renditions of non-human creatures that lived amongst humans.

I just never bought off on the idea that humans thousands of years ago were capable of creating things that would be an immense challenge for us to accomplish even today.

Sorry - where is the evidence to support anything this guy in this video is saying?

First of all, it's a basic fact of engineering that the largest structures are going to be pyramids if you're restricted to building with primitive tools and knowledge. That's why all the big ancient structures are pyramid shaped.

i was curious about that too, a bit of this stuff ends up in private collections but mostly they end up in museum basements and archives because there is no explanation for the objects with our current perspective of history. i also find that it is interesting that in places like machu picchu along with just about every other incan structure in south america, they are all built on top of much older, much more sophisticated structures. i'm not trying to place all of his info under fact, the study of ancient history is pretty comical to me, but i thought that the majority of that video was pretty cool.

Ah, junk history. The real thing is better. BBC has a wonderful podcast series called "The History of the World in 100 Objects" that is far more interesting and correct than that vid. All available for free online.

WTC7 collapsed from fires but the pyramids are still standing after thousands of years.

Scroll down on the list of podcasts.

They start with a stone chopping tool that's at least 1.8 million years old. It's a great series.
