    Default designing HUGE, secrets?

Wondering, from those who have done billboard and marquee work, what are some things you considered image wise? Vague question, but I'm doing my first Marquee and haven't done something this huge before. Any practical advice welcome and appreciated, thx

Oh, and how much did you charge for it?

I've never considered scale when pricing.

Anyways, you have to consider your average viewing distance. Subtly is not your friend. It's not the type of thing where someone can just get closer to it to see your sweet details. Any information the client gives you has to be legible at a glance with everything else. There can still be a hierarchy of information. To proof this stuff, what I do is look at it gp.com thumbnail size. If you can read every word on there when it's tiny, you're good to go.

Listen to Goodtimes. He is wise. Drivers have less than 6 seconds to read a billboard while driving. Which is a long time to take your eyes off the road.

Thanks Richie, thats good advice. It's gonna be on the vegas strip, and I figured that I needed to consider this for drivers and not for foot traffic. Good idea about the thumb, I'll do that.
