    Default Yo, Portland peeps...

Me and the lady are moving back to Oregon and looking for a place to call home (again!). We've been putting out feelers and scouring craigslist searching for a place, but no luck yet. So, GP, I am reaching out (around?) and seeing if any locals might know of anything?

It's gotta be pet friendly & at least 2bd. Other stuff we are looking for are BIG windows, a fenced yard, garage, trees, w/d, and wood floors.

If you know of anything at all, shoot me a PM or email. I'll reward info with drinks* and food or my wife will knit you something pretty.

    Thanks in advance,
    DROID

driving around town today on errands, i saw a fair number of houses (as opposed to apartment signs) 'for rent' but I couldn't say where. Mostly from 84 and MLK, North up Williams and West across straight into St. Johns. Pretty Vague but I see a lot of signs around town.

Yeah I agree with Guy, I've seen quit a few signs and places on craiglist recently. Are you thinking closer in to downtown or just whatever has what you're looking for? We live in N./NE Portland and dig it.

I would recommend driving around and calling numbers on signs.

Cool, thanks dudes. Like I said, if you hear of something through a friend or whatever, give me a shout. Unfortunately we're still in Mass. right now so driving around isn't really an option.

As far as the area goes, we're not quite sure yet. My wife really wants to be in the woods while still being in close to the city so we were looking at Sylvan / Bethany, but finding something in our price range in that area is tough.

Also, if we don't find a place big enough I have a big ol' drying rack that I might need to store for a bit. If any of you want to use it for a bit, let me know.

    Thanks again guys.

Sylvan is a great spot, but it's definitely pricey. I lived by the zoo in Sylvan Highlands from 2000-2001, and I have yet to find a place to live in this world that compares. I'd still be there but I was forced out by rising rents. Mt. Tabor area is good, but it's on the East side.

I have a huge garage with loads of space in felony flats if you want to store anything. The gyys there would be psyched to have a drying rack for a while!
