I have to say a big thank you to all the well wishers who dropped me a line during my stay in hospital recently...

I've got an awful lot of loved ones to assure and their fears to allay, having had a rather hectic skull fracture and blodclot drain (thankfully on the outside of the sac that holds the brain and cerebellum), so won't be able to respond to each kind note individually as I'd like to - not for some time anyhow

but please know I'm chilling back at my folks, I have a great stash of painkillers, I've a number of friends and family coming by for a hotdog grill-off tonight and I'm pleased as punch to be almost 100% well already!

I am amazed at how resiliant I seem to be and whilst I intend to take it pretty easy for the next 6 weeks, I am already able to go back to work (the print market-stall at the West Pier in Brighton) and do 3 light shifts a week if the weather is clement...

life really is incredible if you let it be and I'm grateful to all my friends, peers, heroes and the talented folk here on GP who drive me on and inspire me with their work and their lifestyles... I applaud you lot, please carry on and please give your loved ones an extra call, note, squeeze or other indication of affection - life is dreadfully fragile it seems. I'm shocked when I consider how close things went to the line, my folks could have been planning a funeral right now!

I look forward to posting here again soon too - new studio and gigs are being lined up in the coming months... thanks again for driving me forward you talented mob... here's to catching a number of you again in Hamburg
