Default Could I have feedback on this poster please?

This is a CD poster I designed to be displayed in an alternative record shop in Barcelona. On a marketing website the feedback I got said it was confused and should be simpler, which is a good point. Because of this I thought it would be good to get feedback from specialist poster designers.

    Many thanks for any comments.

To promote CD sales, should it at least have the CD cover in full color?

I'm not even sure what I'm looking at... is that a track listing and a personnel list and a genre list?

when all else fails, rely on hierarchy: the important text should be big. The less important text should be smaller. The least important text should be smallest.

Hint: the track listing does not even qualify as least important.

If it didn't say classical music, I would think this was trying to be a punk flyer. As Mentioned above, there is not Heirachy. To me the style of music isn't matching up with what it appears you are trying to accomplish graphically, but I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Would it be possible for you to explain a bit more about what you are trying to convey graphically?

Thank you for your feedback Standard. I realise now that there is no hierarchy and I think I will use this principle until I get a better feel for displaying information. Looking back it looks as if I was trying to do a graffiti style drawing rather than a poster.

Excellent advice which I will bear in mind when I design the next one.

    Thanks.
