I dig me some Prince, but 3 hours per show, including 3 encores??!!
thats about 1.5 hours and 2 encores too long.
who appreciates a second or even a third encore?
play your damn hit tunes and get off the stage.

no one likes to stand around in the dark after the first encore wondering if they can leave... or wait.. do we need to stay and clap some more?! are we being loud enough? did he play a second encore last night? are we a crappy crowd? should we yell louder? the lights aren't on, so I guess we need to stay and yell. I really wanted another beer. wtf?!

Multiple encores and 3 hr shows suck. I don't care who's playing.

I was just going to say, I'm not even a Ween fan and I saw them do a three hour set a few years ago. I didn't even notice the time go by.

You don't have to stay for all three hours if you don't want. It's true; I've seen people leave shows early.

I've listened to audio of several of these 3 hr prince shows from LA. there's barely any let up in the energy at all. I would be totally mesmerized & captivated the whole way through.
