    Default paypal/sales tax question

i'm trying to figure out a way to automatically find all the state sales tax we collected thru paypal in the last year. Does anybody know how to do this? we sold like thousands of dumb t-shirts and don't have enough time to go thru each order individually before the report is due tomorrow.

If there was tax on each job, and the rate was the same, you could take the total and multiply by the percentage. not exact, but close. there is probably an exact percentage to use to find that, but fkt if I know what it is.

If you fail to pay, sometimes they assign you an estimated tax. It's usually 1.5x your return, and if you mess up (over pay) you can file an amended return later for a refund. At least, in Texas you can.

Won't help you this round, but every time I make a sale in my state on Paypal, I copy it into an excel file. At the end of the year I have them all in one spot. Just extra work, but if you do it right when you make the sale, becomes a routine.

I was looking for the same thing on Paypal last week but found no way to find it. I'll have to do Gigarts suggestion this year as there doesn't appear to be an easy way to sort this on Paypal.

Couldn't you just download your history as a CSV, throw it in Excel, and filter for in-state sales?
