Ryan August - RIP
Just heard about this, one of our local vendors called and let us know. I don't know the details, but it was a car crash a few days ago. His wife, Sarah, runs a piercing shop a few doors down from us, and they have a kid, Declan.
You guys all know Ryan from I Want Your Skull and his crazy sculpture pieces, but when we were starting out, Ryan built Columbia's poster scene and fueled all the punk venues with his amazing work. Even when he moved out of town and we were graduating, he'd drop us a line and help out whenever we had any questions. He worked with some of the most amazing bands that came through, and always delivered work that we still have on our walls.
