GP Black Book 2010

despite how the last one ended. the intention was to help clay. so ill be shipping out a new black book on monday.

I've sent a few pms to people who were interested in the first one and a few new people but if you would like to be included hit me up with a pm.

Book Details:

Page Dimensions : 8.5 x 11 inches
Artist gets 2 facing pages. (Dont fuck up the next page for the next person)
Please fill the hardcover with stickers, postage, tape or whatever.
On the inside of the cover there is a page where everyone who gets the book can sign and date your name.

Try to pass the book along within one week of receiving it. (If you have shit come up or feel uninspired or whatever, pass the book to the next person and we'll send it back your way some time down the line.

heres the info from the previous project.

So in the spirit of "1000 journals" and "Look at Book" I would like to start a GIGPOSTERS BLACK BOOK PROJECT.

Run Down: 45-50 artists will fill a 100 page blank book, each person having one spread (two facing pages) at their disposal. Remaining pages will be reserved for stickers, misc notes, etc. the finished book will be scanned and an online gallery (72 dpi) will be made with a downloadable pdf (300 dpi) so anyone interested can print out their own copies. The original book will be auctioned on eBay, and the cash will go to Clay for all his hard work on GigPosters.com - gig posters, flyers and handbills from around the world!

Your Turn: When you receive the book, fill one spread (two facing pages) with anything you want and send it to the person on the list nearest to your location. Contact them for the address via their email on the list. Try to keep it for only a few days if possible, to keep the book moving and give everyone a chance to do their thing. After you have participated and sent the book on it's way, email me and I will cross you off the list!

Spread Etiquette: No more than one spread (two facing pages); any content, any medium, so long as subsequent pages are not damaged (think twice before using wet media, markers, as they may bleed through the sheet and ruin the next person's spread. Spraymounting a premade wet media piece onto your page is a good alternative). Adding your screen name (and or real name) and country is encouraged. Do not remove pages, even if you made mistakes and/or "ruined" them.


So that everyone can keep up to date with what is going on with the project!
