I do not like my face in pictures, so I don't like to post pictures of it. I like my face in a mirror, but not in a photo. I wonder if that is some kind of mental condition. I pretty much abhor my face in a photo, like, it makes me really uncomfortable.

I think I like 1 out of every 10 pictures taken of me. For every picture there is of me anywhere,
there's at least 9 more in which I look like a retard. Hate hate hate.

funny I feel the same way. I had the side of my face flattened in a bar fight a long time ago and when they fixed it one side of my face was slightly different. But yeah I hate my face in about 90% of the photos I see. I won the fight by the way despite my flattened cheekbone.

That's a survival instinct. Your brain makes it so that you like yourself and depending on how your feeling, emotionally your less critical or can become over critical of your look. A 2d photo is the real you and since you know it's you but not your reflection real time so your brain has a hard time realizing it's you on all levels of consciousness.

Then there's this whole depth of field thing...but talking about that would be boring.
