my only concern is the state of reporting these days: "Joan B. Kroc is about to drop a one-time cash donation" - "DROP"??? drop? what the fuck why not just say "drop some bling?!?" or "Kroc is the shizznit"???

Last week there was the story about the truck in Florida that "almost took out" the family in the house....

Is this just something I am late in noticing or is news getting full of slang and half assed reporting?, or is it due to the fact that people can no longer write properly? (myself included)

I watched the Real World the other night and this chick was trying to defend her use of the word "nigger" by saying "I said it with an '-a', not a '-er'!"

Also, I found it interesting that MTV censors the word, but Comedy Central does not. At least when Dave Chappelle is saying it.
