It was so annoying. For weeks that's all he talked about was being Swiper for Halloween. We found no trace of anything that resembled a Swiper costume so we cobble something together with various items, I made him a bandit mask and tail etc...
When he started to pull his " I don't want to" shit I felt like Homer Simpson (Why you little... choking Bart)...
So we're driving to my parents 'hood (safer than ours at night) and I lectured him...
"People give you candy BECAUSE YOU'RE WEARING A COOL COSTUME BOY!!!! No costume = no candy. If all you're doing is walking around with your hand out and no costume you're just a beggar." (Lightbulb over head). There are beggars on the corner about block form our house every day so he knew exactly what he was when I put the sign around his neck.
Damn near every house cracked up at him.
