I like the drawing of the lady- pretty solid. My only question, why did you cut her head off? I was taught in my figure drawing classes that you never want to crop at the neck or joints because it a) looks weird 2) is offensive 3) looks like you tried to avoid the spot. I believe in your drawing abilities. Draw a face in there or crop differently.

not sure, really. i guess i forgot most of the rules that i learned in my figure drawing classes, which is a waste of money on my end. but, i would answer honestly with a & b. thanks, for the constructive criticism, though. and i appreciate your complement. great job on that bon ivor piece of yours by the way.

Here's a pic of a painting I just finished. Its titled "American Gigolo". I've been appropriating the titles from movies/TV shows I watched as a child that were sexual in nature (ie behind the green door, 9.5 weeks, love american style, etc.). Just curious what y'all thought.

The first two are exceptional reasons to do that. Learn the rules so that you can subvert them.
