Color me impressed! Welcome to the site.
Thanks for the welcome! It was a lucky chain of events (and working crazy hard in school) that led me to the gig, but I sure am glad it happened!

I just painted on a skateboard for a competition coming up. It's all done with pen and ink directly on the board. Here's some pictures:

I decided to try and challenge myself and head in a different direction for a while.

    I did this mock up.

Transferred the line work to the wood, cut out all the layers and started painting in the detail.

I don't have very much experience doing hand painted work and I feel out of my element without using screenprinting but that is the idea with this project.

The final size is 30X24 and It will be in a gallery show coming up next month.

That illustration is amazing. If you get to keep the deck you should slap some varnish or something on it and shred it. Actually, it's far too nice for that. Throw it up on the wall at least though...

for a book by United Dead Artists, about Elvifrance (cheap comix editor of the 70's-80's, sex, horror, humor, and adventure)
Some artists have to redraw covers, and I painted Le Clochard ("the tramp")
    Whole process here

Thanks I'm glad you like it. I did them in layers so I just penciled out the first layer then inked it, and from there I proceeded to add darker layers of more leaves where I though it needed them. Hope that makes some sense!

I'll definitely be putting it up on a wall, unless someone wants to buy it, I think there is the option of buying the original deck at the competition. I couldn't figure out the multi-quote thing but thank you thirteen.
