That bird be the shit.
thanks yo
my process is basically working up from small images, scanning and enlarging them with a fractal filter so that you get this nice grain to work with when you're drawing on top of the print. plus, the matte inkjet print is nice to work prismacolors over, since you can play with laying thin transparencies over it. it's sort of like playing connect-the-dots with making patterns and curves out of the grain and strokes. here's it 6 months ago, about 6"x6", before i forgot it existed and left it to gather dust up until 2 days ago

so so nice.
whats the plan for it?

also
drawing for an album cover i started work on aaages ago which got put on the back burner - but now back in full swing.
its the first time ive ever hand drawn something for real, just finished inking the lines up & im sort of at an impasse now as im unsure how to proceed
i dont know whether to thicken some lines up, which lines to thicken, where & if to shade, black sections etc
ive read through a ton of process/inking threads but if anyone has any pointers that'd be swell as im way out of my element here...
here is a slightly cleaned up scan

I'm just sort of winging it (Ha Ha Ha.. ahhh)
Gonna try to sell the current quasi-original for a few bucks, then do a little work in photoshop on it, print it, draw on it, get it scanned, toss that final drawn-on "original" up in a gallery, and sell prints. I've got a couple more 13x19 pieces going through the same process at the moment. It's time-consuming as hell, but oh well, I like the results it yields.
And Drozd, that shit is straight fire!

THe insect print rules!!
If your not used to inking and unsure of how to proceed. I would scan in your originals, and then just print out copies and ink on top of those just in case something goes wrong. But then again, my main goal is the finished product so i don't care how the originals look most of the time...some people like a nice bristol version of what ends of being the final product...
