OK!
Today I had my first meeting with Robert Bird, my "Childrens Book Illustration" professor - what a righteous dude! hella righteous... Our first assignment was to illustrate the fable (attributed to Aesop) called "the old lion"... Here are my sketches... This project is due next week and I'll post the final when it's ready...

Illustration is so fun. I have to illustrate "Cowardly Pencil". I think I am going to make a connection to the cowardly lion. I want to draw a pencil/lion that is being attacked by flying sharpener monkeys.
I had a few other ideas but it didn't portray "cowardly" but more "scared". I had drawings of pencils being shoved into giant noses and cat butts.
