good idea, biklops!

some old cd cover art that i just cleaned up a bit in photoshop. the original of this has all the black line work on acetate and then i hand painted all the colors on the back.....yes, it took a long time(my pre-computer days....ugh). the skateboard was clipped from a magazine and the road and sidewalk is grey paper with pencil crayon and some speckled letratone sticker.

I saw these when you posted them a while back and thought they were a great idea, so I'm doing the same thing. They look nothing alike, but regardless it's going to be a 3 color linolium print. It sucks cuz V-day is tomorrow and I decided I wanted to do this yesterday...

Here's portrait no.74.

Portrait no.74 original artwork by DWITT - eBay (item 220202065743 end time Feb-20-08 18:37:37 PST)

No 75 is my first big one, and it should be finished tomorrow. Been working on it for four days.

Duuuuude these are so good. I can't believe you're doing a series of over 75. Maybe someday I'll have the balls to attempt something of that magnitude.

thank you. I don't see an end for the 'Portrait' series. It may continue for the rest of my life. I've always drawn faces, and this format has really worked well for me.
