clear gesso huh? for a while I was oil painting on water color paper that I treated with rabbit skin glue. I guess that would be similar.

painting looks great by the way

its great but the prep is a bit of a pain.
double boiler to melt the granules then set for 10 minutes then apply and usually rewarm to melt again.

Yeah, I just googled it, not for me. The whole "It comes from rabbit skin" boiling on our stove would freak out my almost vegetarian wife, me think.

Yeah, It's a thin birch panel mounted on a wood frame. I love working on that too. The surface is really slick. That one was primed with clear gesso. Another thing that I discovered lately and that I really like.
