to be honest, those trees being a halftoned photo is really disjointing to me. doesnt really click together me thinks. i mean, the bears and the sun do because theyre drawn and are simple, but that method of doing the trees with someones photo just seems like an easy way out. its a strong layout, id just say you should look at this like a first draft.

thanks for the crit dd, but those are my trees. i took the photo while snowboarding. it will all be explained in the process thread.
i think the only other thing i'm gonna do is knock out the white with the paintbrush in illustrator behind the trees so the paper shows through. Last edited by balance; 07-19-2007 at 10:04 AM. |

my concern with making it specifically "snowboarding oriented" is that it would only appeal to that population. i wanted a little more of a story to it. maybe i will add a hidden single track in there. thanks for suggestions! and apparently i'm ripping off dan maccarthy to some people. jeesh. |
