It depends on the style of the illo. I use a brush for cartoon style stuff. Rapidograph or sharpie for the more raw looking "metal" illos.

The best thing about the Chance Encounter one is that I took all of the text except for the the "google me: ripper1331" from an actual ad in the LA weekly about 5 years ago. I wonder if they ever got married...
