I bought and easle and never use it - I just don't feel comfortable painting with the canvas in that position

I find that I wind up holding the painting a lot while I work. I then put it on the easle and work at arms length for bigger areas. Then pick it back up and add detail. Rinse... repeate.

I just put the canvas on the lip of my drafting table and handle it like an illustration board during the whole painitng... pick up.. move etc...
