No. You can't just publish someone's artwork without their consent. Especially when you go into the poster realm, because then you're dealing with band names/brands/identity.

You also can't republish someone's interview without consent.

And, the biggest reason anyone here should be annoyed that someone is swiping their jpgs off of GP and printing them in a design/art/illustration book is: Image quality. If you don't know or aren't part of the mix, they're printing a 72dpi jpg, and that's bad news.

I gotta wonder if their was any consent given by anyone in that book, because it looks like there's some corporate work in their too (ie: stuff that the artist themselves may not own the rights to) and that's even stickier.

Whoever created that book is a complete moron, and i'll bet that of the many illustrators in there, a few will flex their lawyer's muscles and the publisher will learn an expenive lesson about purging the internet for content.
