that kind of reminds me of a pal I had in high school, who was kind of a proto-goth halloween-er type. He had heard about The The and Skinny Puppy and brought over these 3 records and was smugly head-bobbing as he was playing them with this "look at me, I'm fucking cool" attitude.
finally I went over because they sounded fucking weird and he was playing 45's on 33...
oddly, they sounded kind of cool at 33rpm.. really plodding deep beats
