Sure Hess doesn't clean up after himself and I think that's a good thing. This is in that sketchy style but everyone sketches look so different from each other. Everyone's wrist move differently and everyone has different weight when they work. It's only after the clean up that the personal touch is softened and sometimes completely removed, hence the squabble about illustrator vs. designer people love to bring up again and again.
