I like the distressed background. The only thing I would say is that the date, club info, etc should have been across the bottom instead of the top and then you would have had plenty of room at the top to make better use of typography for the band names. This poster is way better than a hell of a lot of posters on this site, not the greatest but it works.

Meh, this is a good example of a good idea poorly executed. The text and layout blow and I lazily put that distressed background on it at the last minute. It's not terrible, but it coulda been better.

Needs better type treatment...more detail on the main subject...(illo) I mean if you're going to have the detail in the zipper (as miniscule as it is) and the background, you might as well follow through with the rest of the image...maybe some creases in the jacket??? ASSHOLE???!!? :D Otherwise you're playing a negative space game...Background energy focuses all of it's energyon the illo...and the illo..is flat (as far as energy is concerned) The layout, the illo, the subject matter, works better than a lot of posters out there.. Just needs some fine tuning..

First chance I've had to check out your stuff. Definately enjoying the illustration skills on this one. I think his head could have been better juxtaposed against those powerline structures though.
