This is one of my personal favorites too. It's funny that you say your girlfriend won't let you put it up, because my wife made me take mine down. I thought it worked well in the kitchen, but in the interest of preserving domestic tranquility...
i see your point but i don't think that the Twist influence necessarly discounts this poster. there's plenty of posters out there that borrow pretty liberally from others styles and character creations. i still like this one.
This was a poster from a gig in 1998, and yep, I agree it looks a lot like McGee's Kurtzmann-esque work. I ran into his work ( Im in Chicago) after this poster was printed and was happy we only made 80 of them-McGee is a deservedly successful artist and the resemblance of these lugs to his stumblebums is spooky, I think. I debated whether or not to post this, and thought I would in the interest of not editing any of my work.
I can Twist in this, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Seems more like coincidence to me. Stylewise, I think this poster is in keeping with the others that Grzeca's been doing. This stuff is really fresh, I love it.
