once you start with the mono men, start checking out old estrus label stuff. one of the truly great unrecognized, unheralded labels. great covers, too.
but, the music was amazing on most estrus stuff - especially back in the 90's!
i was threatening you with calling you names, not calling you out.
hope i didn't scare you too much.
by the way, i call this stuff "humor". feel free to use it.
the mono men were a truly great garage rock band (as are the nomads.) the dirtbombs were part of that early 90's scene (in the form of the gories and blacktop, sorta.) THEY know all about them mono men. they were buddies.
if you're interested, go find a copy of "wrecker" by the mono men. or maybe a copy of "have a nice day, motherfucker." both great records. you won't be disappointed.
I never called you any names, Art. I like both posters. I just identify with this one more, being from Detroit. I noticed that the Wikipedia entry for Mono Men name-checks the Sonics, so it sounds like a Washington thing I wouldn't understand.
oh, and mine was printed on actual vintage lp's. in fact, the copy i gave crider was printed on a vintage collectible copy of the sonics first lp (worth a couple of hundred at last look). he got so drunk that he left it behind at the club. classic.

hey, now you're getting personal. you want me to call you some names?
if you knew anything about the mono men or the nomads, you'd understand the jokes involved.
besides, i was going for "hotwheels", not "detroit". you say "tomata", i say "tomoter"
I almost never get pulled into these discussions but did I just read Zach Hobbs bag on this poster because it was done before? The Zach Hobbs that just posted another poster of a side profile with words for teeth?
