While I am often douchey, I'm not normally a shit-starter. I just feel that, regardless of the "cleverness" of the reference, the comment was just mean for the sake of mean. Alot of comments on this site are that way, but hey, its a free forum to say whatever, right?
You are right to take the high road and end the discussion--it is pretty much a completely ridiculous topic to go on about (and I am sure it has probably been covered a million times around here).
