This poster is awesome.
But with so many shows there is definetly an opportunity for everyone to do their own poster |

Asbestos Press is legit.
They, me and Paul all do stuff for Brian's (Abstract Entertainment) shows at some point or another.
They do good stuff too. |

I did the poster for the venue, and was totally unaware of any HOF poster art contest or whatever. I'm a fan of Paul's work and meant no disrespect. I'm also a fan of the band and was excited to put a poster together for the show. |

Just to be fair,
Paul is not the only rock poster maker in Sacramento. He is a super cool guy, his stuff kicks ass, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did a poster for this show as well. But Laura is also a very popular designer in Sacramento, and the venues are always thrilled when she makes a poster.
Just about every show in sacramento has about half a dozen people who are involved, and each one knows a different poster maker, so it is not uncommon for a show to have several posters. (I heard from the promoter that the last Melt Banana show had 4 posters. And each poster maker was contacted through a different person.)
Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents in case people started getting nasty, and making accusations of "stealing" and blah blah blah.
Also is it stealing when everyone is giving it away? I know Paul doesn't charge for his work, and I know Laura didn't charge for her poster. So as far as I see it, it is just a grand ol' Rock N Roll Poster Buffet in Sacramento.

Oh wow, I'd like to see this in person. Very nice. Took me a second to register the skull, though. That's cool.
But if you stole Paul's show, I'll cut yer throat. |
