Thanks for the good comments everyone. The poster in the photo measures 42" x 10.5". They all had varying sizes due to the way they were constructed. Most did not stretch out this tall. This one is made up of 3 individual strips of bark that I stripped from the tree by hand. A couple of them even had bits of moss and fungus on them. It's been a long time since this show and I've had the extras just sitting in my attic until I decided to upload this. I'm not sure how I can ship these yet as they are very fragile. The band loved them but almost felt bad taking them because they thought they would break in their van during the course of the tour. I will be at flatstock in March and plan on bringing the few I have left with me.
Sleater Kinney has been one of my favorite bands forever and this was the first chance I had to do a poster for the. This was for when they were touring in support of "The Woods". I sort of because obsessed with the album and went a little crazy. I made about 25 posters out of the bark. I hot glued different sections of birch tree bark together to form the backs and then spray painted on the design. There was a laser copy version that looked similiar but this was placed in the top 6 record stores in town and at the venue as well.
