yeah, did it all point by point, i started with the photo in photo shop and blew out the contrast so i could distiguish roughly between 3 levels of shadow. then placed it into illustrator and just traced each level of shadow point by point. i guess i could have streamlined it all, i just felt like that was kinda cheating and i dont always like the result streamline gives. also, i feel like the type treatment is straight from jeff kliensmiths bag o' tricks but fuck it, i wanted something classy, and wanted to stay as far away from "obey giant" as possible

Woooahh.. I stand corrected.. very nice.. great work.. so did you plot them points one by one.??. Its a bitch to do but in the end you get a great look..

no streamline on this one buddy, hands on in illustrator all the way, gives way more control than streamline though it takes about 2 hours longer to do.

how beautiful is this thing? and I'm lucky enough to get to print it. Once again the captains make me green with envy...ha! bad puns aside... dusty email me... I might have found some nice green paper to print this on, though it will change the palette a bit.
