Actually, I think the world's loudest rock show was High on Fire in the little tent across from Emo's during SXSW. Instant cerebral scar tissue.

I've only seen Keelhaul a couple of times, and while they were loud, they couldn't touch Boulder in that department.
One show, Boulder set up a stack of Marshall cabinets in the shape of an upside cross and "crucified" one of their friends to the "cross" for their entire set. He was completely fucked when they finally stopped playing.

the old drummer from shallow ND hits really hard, so i'm betting they're pretty loud too...so, this could be the world's loudest show.
