The Mad "poiuyt" first appeared as part of the March, 1965 cover illustration by Norman Mingo.
Apparently Mad thought they'd bought the rights to something unique, but in fact it was in the public domain, known to engineers as the "blivet" or "devils fork."
The other band was The Field, at least that is what the promoter and pollstar told us. Did we get it wrong Rick?
