I like the layout and lettering but I think the color choice is a little subdued for Super Joint Ritual. Darker colors would have been more dramatic with the illo. IMHO.

Thanks guys. It's nice to be compared to Hess even though he gets blasted here but like I said before I have to start somewhere. I'm really not trying to ape Hess I've just been drawing like this for a huge section of my life. Oh and if someone says they don't like your work it's not as bad thing. I'm learning everyone misses on a piece here and there and art is always subject to opinion. The main thing is to Learn, Learn, Learn from it. I feel it's the only way to get better. Thanks again guys.

i wish i could draw half as good as d.hess. i look through books on peter jones and frank frazetta and i could see hess being that kind of artist, if he'd take it to the next level, get away from the sketchy stuff. seems like he's been a target on this site for awhile. if someone said to me "your stuff isn't very good" about my posters, it'd make me feel pretty shitty.

On A level MUCH higher than HESS.. If Derek's work was this good I would understand his popularity, but its not and I don't. Brian Mercer, that is some really nice work..You deserve derek's popularity..
