I used to have a hedgehog. All he did was do laps around the perimeter of our front room. We had one of those 60's style sunken living rooms so that was his cage. Left a little trail of rabit size turds and piss all the way around. Had to have leather gloves to pet the little fucker. He'd hiss and jump and roll up into a little ball. There filthy little creatures. Ferrets are worse. they shit little black hard but greasy little logs. They'll only crap in corners and they back into a corner. I don't know what they do in the wild. Maybe they back into a tree. I heard it's so they got themselves covered from enemies.
