yeah! it is so great to see this poster pop up in discussion again. i flipped when i saw this at peveto's for the first time. really great, and so pleasing to see such a terrific poster for one of my favorite bands!
yes definately saw a bit of Paul Rand in there, Just went to a show of his life's work at the Eisner museum in Milwaukee. They just didn't do justice. Nice stuff man, will be looking forward to future submissions.
For me personally, this is an eerily effective poster. It's been more than a week, and I'm still thinking about it. Maybe it's because I'm a big Sylvia Plath fan, or maybe its just executed too damn good. A lot of stuff like this on this site has made me reevaluate the time I spend on type. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is pretty sweet guys. Hope you get a good show. I saw them at Emo's a couple of years ago and was about to shit I was so excited. Drug tons of people to see them. They SUCKED. So bad we had to leave. And I LOVE Suicide. They were so fuckin' awful you could barely figure out what songs they were singing. Wasn't even cool. They looked like a couple of shitty old men jackin' off with a banged up keyboard. Like I said I hope you get a good show. I was 100% let down.
sorry to keep bla bla blaing about our own shit but fuck this was the best job ever.
we both LOVE suicide.
i never thought i'd get to see em much less do a poster for em.
especially great cause we got asked (ok we begged) to do thi right after getting rejected for the sy one. and the same promoter hired us to do a bunch more and guess what? he's PAYING us.
plus he said we could go wild on size, amount of colors ect cause he like screened posters.
pretty sweet deal.
can't WAIT till the show.
i'll get the meet alan fuckin' vega!!!!!
shit chloe...you're just making your vernissage more and more expensive for me. i think that i might need one of these. great, great stuff! i don't know whether i should be intensely jealous, or excited that i might own one of these. rawk!
i quit. seriously. there was a time when i thought i had talent as a designer, but after this shit ... i know im nothing more than a production artist trying to "design." fuck it all, kill me now. ive wasted years thinking i could be good.
PRODUCTION ARTIST FOR HIRE, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
i get it.
we started collabing on posters for our own band a year ago out of need.
than we came here and started taking it seriously.
i'm soooo glad this site exists.
helped me more than all my years of university.
when i look at what we are doing now compared to what we did a year ago i feel very excited .
you WILL be monsters. right now you're merely amazing creatures.
ya see, kozik's a monster, gaither's a monster. you haven't been around long enough to be full-fledged monsters. give yourself a little time. don't rush it any.
