oh, she's also a great copywriter (really nice headlines). for instance she wrote that great
'FABULOUS FAMILY FUN' line. pretty great, huh?

whenever you see clever or subtle colors like this on one of my posters, you can rest assured jamie had a hand in it. also, whenever you see 'typography' instead of 'letterin'', it's her.
my color ideas are crude and shocking, and my letterin' is, at best, ragged.

the illustrations are collaged-together amalgamations of ancient (1950's) advertising illustrations from old ivar's ads. we went through the old files in the attic and found amazing shit.
we treated them like clipart and pieced together new stuff from the stash.
they should bring back 'clem the clam'.

this is not a good reproduction. there's a lot of great detail on this. i'm very proud of this poster - it captures the 'old' seattle i loved perfectly - the corney advertising, the community efforts, the hickoid mentality. ivar haglund was a cool story. but it's too long for this forum.
besides, it's got nancy sinatra on it!
