I consider myself a feminist and half the posters I make have naked women in them. The difference is in the perspective. If this chick looked like a lamb going to the proverbial slaughter, that might be offensive but she looks pretty in control of things.
This is one of my favorite posters you guys have done. As soon as I'm not broke anymore, I'm gonna buy it. I wish I could buy rolls of wallpaper of it or get a subway size version. That's how much I love it.
My favorite thing about the lady was how she kept saying "I am a feminist and this offends me" "Blah blah I am a feminist"
The best thing was when she said "I HOPE this wasn't done by a woman"
So if a guy did it, it would be less offensive?
Silly ugly lady!
Beth, I had a woman come up to me at an art fair with her father, and they both let me have it, about how my art degrades women and so on.
I wish I would have said what you said, but I'm not real quick on my toes like that, so I just stood there looking stupid. Letta helped me out though, and said "So I can't look like this (points to herself) and have 2 master's degrees?"
Next time that happens... I'm saying exactly what you said.
Great work btw. XO.
I got yelled at by a random feminist lady who came into the store today and saw this on the wall.
She said "shame on you, this is a disgrace to women!"
I said "you are entitled your opinion, have a nice day!"
