art chantrySend art chantry a message :   i like this poster a lot. but i really don't think it's in my "best work". i think it's sorta high middle. most of you haven't seen the bulk of my work (no matter how big an authority on me you may think you are). most of it has never been posted/published other than on telephone poles. how would you ever see it?
besides, i have a healthy distain for comic book imagery/artwork. i got REAL sick of cartoon stuff back in the 1980's and i have a hard time taking it seriously since then. i had to work with too much of it and too many cartoonists to ever take it very seriously ever again.
but, then most of you guys have grown up thinking that comics books were high art, right? so did i, and look where it got me... on gigposters.
