yeah, that's where it came from. i contacted him about it, but i didn't know how to contact you (or even how to credit you). it's a shame how many 'credits' that were edited out of my book. i had credits for BLT and Thingmakers and others all through it, but the editor at the publishers insisted on removing them because, "they weren't important". idiot. the book was slammed together in a month (and it took two years for the author to write it.) and there was no time to argue anymore. lotsa things were compromised (isn't that always the way?)
anyway, thanks for everything, keith.
These days I've joined the legions of Corporate Design hacks...I've been working for an insurance company ever since I got out of school (don't get too depressed - it pays the bills). I'm married now, got a 7 y/o step-son, 16-month old daughter, house, the whole nine yards. For the last year and a half I was running a web site on the side, (www.animationondvd.com for those who are interested) but I've recently given that up since it was taking a LOT of time away from the wife and kids.
Looking back on that site, it was pretty crazy how I did it (it was ALL hand done HTML) and some of the stuff that was up on it. I did get a lot of great feedback from people - I think it was a good resource at the time. By the way, did you get Frank's quote that's on the back of your book off of the site? Not that I really care or anything, but I could've sworn that I had that same quote up on the site.
Anyway, If you are ever interested in doing a site of your own, I'd be happy to give you the stuff I've got from my old site. Jamie said that she was going to post some more of your work on here - I'd be particularly interested in seeing what you've been up to since moving to St. Louis.
Keep in touch - drop me an e-mail if you'd like (email@example.com).
Oh yeah - you might be delighted to know that the Hamlet poster you did with the big skull on it for the Bathhouse Theatre is now proudly on display in my office at the insurance company. :-D Gotta keep SOME of my edge. :-D
hi! how're ya doin'? i got a lot if hilarious mileage from that sight - especially some of the information that wasn't quite accurate (dr. kitsch or whatever in particular). funny stuff. people used that as MY website for years.
what're you up too these days?
i don't know who's been posting my stuff up here. the name 'keith finch' (the postee) rings a bell - he may be the fella who did that 'art chantry...now!' website about me, but i don't know, really. the only ones that i posted up here are the ones that jamie threw up.
