i gave you stuff at fs1 ... remember?
seattle because its not AS cold, and im going to play in a band and stuff with kids that i know from hawaii. also, i dont really like the midwest ... too many white people.
and that other stuff about your persona ... god, who cares. that is so last year.
Im sorry dude. I just know that you were supposed to send me some of your cool stuff...and you never did. Then I got wind that you didnt quite 'appreciate' my dashing persona...so I didnt think we were like...friendly.
Hence, you became a 'that guy'.
Why Seattle?
jermaine: this guy? as if we never met! p.s. i died and moved to seattle ...er, im moving to seattle.
alice: shad has about 60 of these, make him send you one.
Hey rob, trapping is the spreading or choking of colors into one another. If registration is slightly off, the paper won't show through. The color black usually overprints.
I don't really like Jason at all but he's so fuckin' good at design I gotta play along. Talk about someone who's a bitch to print. All his crap is so clean and perfect that you have zero room for play. his registration tighter than a pygmy's pussy and if you get off registration you know. Paul and My stuff is so sloppy that off reg. looks intentional. Damn Jason and Clay and their fancy web background!
And yes it is nice to have a group to work ideas off of. It's kept us from many an embarasing final project. Frustration getting shot down but always better for the end result.
yes I am...:) and we really like each other and have the same 'eye' for the most part...It took us years to find each other though...keep up what you got going and I am sure you'll find the same...and again, this is bad ass!
jason - youre so lucky you have people to work with, bounce ideas off of, catch the mistakes. ive been dying to get someone to show me the ropes print-wise. im really lucky brian (fight12) let me tag along. he is a great printer.
Yeah - jumping to p[rint you can forget some rules...TRAP WITH BLACK...that's one to remember, I have fucked it up myself a few times...its nice that we have a team tho' so geoff always sees it before its printed...nice to have an integrated safety net.
yeah i know, i know ... i learned my lesson the other night! designing for screenprinting is still a new world to me ... progress is coming! :D
thanks fer your patience chloe.
plastk - they turned out quite nice. registration was a bit goofy on some of them, but as fight12 pointed out to me the other night, had i trapped the colors a little better, they would have been perfecto. my only regret is only doing these cassettes one color. i didnt think of it until after the fact, but wouldnt it have been nice to tile a series of pink, green, yellow, and blue cassettes on your wall. c'est la vie.
current project is a bitch, anyone know arabic?
Real nice. PERFECT colors. Great type and logo treatment. A beaut'. ...And I could never tire of looking at a giant cassette.
Still think you were too hard on yourself, Mr Jones, over the original design but this sure shows diversity.
